Rabid Squirrel 1 oz. Spinnerbait (Monster Lures) The Rabid Squirrel Spinnerbaits are the newest bait in the Rabid Squirrel line-up. These baits have been used over the last number of seasons but only in limited quantities, with amazing results! Now the baits are available for everybody. In prototyping the bait, many monster muskies and northern pike were caught, which was impressive knowing how few of the baits were out there. These baits took quite a while to perfect, and now the final product of many years of perfecting the bait is yours! The Rabid Squirrel Spinnerbaits feature large bodies, for maximum visual affect on monster fish. The body is made of the best Marabou on the marked and northern squirrel tails for fish fooling color combinations. The baits feature a dressed trail hook, for a larger profile and better hooking percentage, in the case of the 1 ½ oz. troller two dressed trailer hooks. The head design was made to minimize snags, and let the bait weasel its way through weeds, without getting hung-up. The wire is what really makes the Rabid Squirrel Spinnerbait special. The wire is a lighter (but still extremely strong) .051 so that the spinnerbait arm will have the maximum amount of vibrations from the two blades. When the two blades of the spinnerbait spin, the wire will flex with the blades, creating even more vibrations then a standard heavy wire spinnerbait. The next part of the Rabid Squirrel Spinnerbait that makes it stand out above all other baits is the eye of the spinnerbait. The eye is a coiled eye, not wrapped, what this does when you have the two blades spinning on a long arm it will actually act like a coil spring, flexing. The upper arm of the spinnerbait will flex towards the body of the spinnerbait and back, making even more vibration. When running the Rabid Squirrel Spinnerbait, have the bait run beside the boat as you are moving, watch the bait "popping" and your rod tip vibrating, if that doesn't convince you, the monster fish that you will catch on it will!!
