Sputter Duck (Ducktail Lures)
The "Sputter Duck is a topwater bait designed to allow you to fish it fast or slow, with two different sounds, and alot of noise! It was also designed to improve hook ups, as fish often miss on top water strikes.
Sputter Duck is the first bait to incorporate the two most successful designs in one bait! The head features a curved blade to give a "plop sound" as many tail bladed baits, while the rear gives the gurgle prop sound of a buzz bait. It fishes well at fast or slow speeds, from flat water to a moderate chop.
The Sputter Duck hooks fish well, because the wood body is relatively small giving the Musky a better chance to "suck it in" and get hooks not wood. The rear treble is extended behind the bait via shrink tubing, to stick short strikers.
